Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) organized the Malaysia Fashion, Modelling, and Pageant Awards (MFMPA) on 7 January 2021 at the Grand Ion Delemen Hotel, Genting Highlands. Divided into six categories, the MFMP Awards recognizes contributions towards the fashion industry. A panel of reputable and credible judges assess and determine the award winners from the following categories- Fashion, Modelling, Pageant, Ancillary, Merit, and Industry Icons.
Zulkifly Md Said, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, said, “Through our differences, Malaysia holds an advantage in the fashion industry. We are blessed with an abundance of inspiration and influence through our diversity, modesty, and the cultures that we have come to learn and cherish. From fabrics to patterns and techniques, the fashion world is our oyster.”
At the MFMP Awards, over 80 deserving personalities and organizations proudly received the awards for their contributions. The MFMP Awards took place under strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and was held before the Movement Control Order (MCO) 2.0 was announced. MMK deserves to be commended for its efforts to organize such an event safely, despite the pandemic. They are truly an example to many that despite the challenges – with proper planning, anything is possible.
Dr. Jason Hee, Founder and President of Miss Malaysia Kebaya (MMK) said, “Covid-19 will not stop or discourage MMK. We know that we are not alone because we have you, the industry players, to support us in facing challenges ahead and adapting to new changes. MMK will continue in our journey to organize many more meaningful events using new concepts of digitalization and education and enhance our skills as we move into a new era.”

- Datin Winnie Loo – Icon Award for Hairstyling
- Carrie Lee – Icon Award for Pageantry
- Amber Chia – Icon Award for Modelling
- Bon Zainal Harun – Icon Award for Fashion
- Rasta Rashid – Merit Award for Batik Industry Development
- Sunshine Aileen Devi Eric – Model-preneur of the Year
- Alexis Sue Ann Seow – Pageant Queen of the Year
The MFMP Awards is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MoTAC) and Cuti-Cuti Malaysia; being unable to attend the event, representing the minister was Zulkifly Md Said, Director-General of Tourism Malaysia, who officiated the event.
