TOURISM MALAYSIA COLLABORATES WITH EXPEDIA GROUP & LOCAL MEDIA TO PROMOTE MALAYSIA FOR 2022

Introduction of local media for Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Campaign 2022

A joint-marketing collaboration was recently announced between Tourism Malaysia and Expedia Group to bolster Malaysia’s domestic and international efforts to promote tourism in Malaysia.

The collaboration will anticipate a global campaign featuring both parties to encourage inbound travel from Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States to Malaysia. Over 750 million of Expedia’s global monthly visitors will be able to discover Malaysia’s hidden and unique tourist attractions as well as a variety of accommodations in the country.

Malaysia’s target of achieving 2 million tourist arrivals and RM8.6 billion in tourist spending in line with its national ‘Malaysia Truly Asia 2022’ campaign will be supported by the collaboration.

Tourism Malaysia will also be working with nine (9)  local media such as ASTRO, Media Prima Omnia, Star Media Group, RTM, Sinar Harian, Nanyang Siang Pau, Borneo Post, Free Malaysia Today, and BFM 89.9 Radio, as well as two (2) advertising platforms which are KLIA TV and AEON to enhance the CutiCuti Malaysia Campaign for the year 2022. In the next phase, Tourism Malaysia will be looking into more collaborations with other local media that have shown tremendous commitment to the industry over the years.

Dato’ Sri Hajah Nancy Binti Shukri, the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia also took the opportunity to acknowledge and sincerely thank all media friends that have been supporting the Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Campaign.
