GOpinjam by Touch’ n Go (TNG) Group is TNG’s first-ever digital personal loan proposition and is currently available through Touch’ n Go eWallet. This initiative by TNG aims to offer personal loans from RM100 to RM10,000 with a repayment period of one week to one year. Individuals with a salary of RM800 are already eligible to opt for the GOpinjam incentive.

GOpinjam was developed by collaborating with CIMB Bank Berhad (CIMB). Through this collaboration, TNG ensures that the product design and delivery mechanisms are among the finest out there, as TNG mimics CIMB Bank’s e-Zi Tunai Personal Loan system for their platform. Do note that first-time users who are interested in GOpinjam are required to submit their one-month payslip and EPF statement, along with basic information for the loan application.

Group CEO of Touch’ n Go Group, Effendy Shahul Hamid, stated that “This is a true market first. We researched the landscape thoroughly before building GOpinjam and I feel we’ve come up with a proposition that delivers significant value to our users, at the same time addresses the pain points of current personal lending propositions. We’re so pleased to have been able to put this together. We will take feedback post-launch and continue to improve with the goal of making this the go-to product for this segment.”

Group CEO of CIMB Group, Dato’ Abdul Rahman Ahmad, compliments TNG by saying, “CIMB is proud to support GOpinjam through our CIMB e-Zi Tunai Personal Loan, a fully inclusive proposition targeted at underserved segments, anchoring on a pure-play eWallet-Bank partnership. This development is also in line with our long-term strategy and intent for the Touch’ n Go Group, and to allow it to develop into one of Malaysia’s leading non-bank digital financial services providers. We believe GOpinjam also addresses the Government’s push towards a more cashless and inclusive society, an area that both CIMB Group and Touch’ n Go Group fully support.”
