The Suria KLCC Group, consisting of Suria KLCC, Alamanda and Mesra Mall celebrated Deepavali with a more colourful affair for the first time after the pandemic has ended. The festival of lights celebrations was hosted for 17 days from 14 to 30 October to welcome the important occasion amongst the Hindu community in Malaysia.
“Deepavali is a time to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil. This festive season reminds us to not only celebrate with gusto, but also with gratitude as we journey ahead as a community after the struggle of recent times.” said Andrew Brien, CEO of the Suria KLCC Group.
Suria KLCC’s Centre Court was transformed into a vibrant garden installation featuring a 20-foot rotating ‘kolam’ with motion sensor lighting and sound to provide visitors a fun and interactive experience. The lively setup is also filled with floral peacocks and a traditional Indian gazebo adorned with flower garlands.
The festive mood is further augmented with Deepavali tunes while shoppers are also treated to traditional Indian dance performances on selected weekends.
On the other end, Alamanda Shopping Centre welcomed shoppers with a beautiful rangoli illuminated with diyas to replicate Indian homes decked in colourful traditional Indian decoration.
Both Suria KLCC and Alamanda Shopping Centre brought marvellous rewards to shoppers by giving free gifts and vouchers with minimum spending.
