Shila Amzah and SOG
Prestigious music award, Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL), recently commenced its 36th edition at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (PWTC), where Shila Amzah and Sekumpulan Orang Gila (SOG) ascended as the victors of the night. The award night was themed as “Ini Rentak Kita”, featuring 12 performances by 12 different artists from various genres. Alif Satar and Nabila Huda hosted the main event while Sissy Imann and Sean Lee hosted the Red Carpet for AJL36.
The event saw top singers such as Dato’ Jamal Abdillah, Mas Idayu, Ayda Jebat and Cassia, who were invited to initiate the award ceremony alongside Wings who performed with an orchestra group led by Datuk Ramli M.S with a “Rock Orchestra” concept.
The stars of the night, Shila Amzah and SOG took the audience by surprise with their power-packed performance as they instilled a screamo chorus during their performance of “Pelukan Angkasa”. Matching the theme of the night, Shila and SOG gave immediate chills to the audience who attended and streamed the performance live.

Even so, Marsha Milan managed to single-handedly snatch the Best Performance award with her incredible vocal range that captivated the audience; one might even say that a performance such as this is a rare sight, taking into consideration the emotions and strength the singer portrayed on stage.
Haqiem Rusli with his second AJL award in his singing career
An alluring performance by Haqiem Rusli mesmerized PWTC with his euphonic voice. Pouring all his emotions into it, Haqiem secured third place in the competition, making it the second award he has received from AJL throughout his career.
