RASAKU, a key brand under LINACO, has responded positively to the government’s call to support the “Payung Ramah” initiative. The initiative launched by YB Datuk Seri Haji Salahuddin bin Ayub, Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) with strategic partners such as the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security aims to provide relief to those struggling to make ends meet.
The beginning of RASAKU’s involvement in the national campaign started with “Jualan Rahmah” and “Bakul Rahmah”. This move reflects the company’s commitment to reduce the cost of the basic food ingredients manufactured in supporting businesses that fall under the “Menu Rahmah” category.
As part of the “Jualan Rahmah” initiative, Rasaku has extended discounts of 15% to 25% on selected products, including coconut milk, toasted coconut paste (kerisik) and soy sauce, to help ease the financial burden on low-income and extremely poor households. Furthermore, under the “Bakul Rahmah program, Linaco was proud to contribute RM100,000 in the form of products and funds to aid in the community that were recently affected by the Johor flood.
According to Joe Ling, Group Executive Director of Linaco Group of Companies, they are honored to participate in KPDN’s initiative as one of the industry players, given that they are the largest coconut-based food ingredient manufacturers in Malaysia. LINACO, identified as a significant contributor to the “Menu Rahmad” cause, is the first basic raw ingredient brand to participate in this program.
Joe Ling further added that LINACO is committed to contributing 10% of the company’s net profit yearly to those in need through The Bountiful Eye Foundation (TBEF), a non-governmental organization (NGO) under the Linaco Group of Companies, in addition to supporting the “Payung Rahmah” initiative.
As part of the Rasaku “Bubur Lambuk” Program 2023, the company distributed “bubur lambuk” made from Rasaku coconut milk around Klang Valley, with the aim of bringing joy and happiness to the community during the holy month of Ramadan. Distribution locations included Shah Alam Stadium Ramadan Bazaar, Shah Alam PKNS Complex, TTDI Ramadan Bazaar, Putrajaya Ramadan Bazaar, Bangsar Ramadan Bazaar, NSK Rawang Jaya and NSK Selayang.
