The world’s largest Mexican-inspired American fast-food brand, Taco Bell takes Malaysia by storm by officially opening its very first outlet in Cyberjaya. Welcoming Malaysians all across the nation, Taco Bell is to commence the launch of the renowned fast-food chain on the 2nd of April 2021 at 10 am.
Taco Bell offers their customers an undoubtedly exclusive dining experience accompanied with delectable food, truly rendering their brand philosophy “Live Mas” which translates to “Live More”. Taco Bell Malaysia added a more Malaysian twist to their brand philosophy by swapping the word “more” with “kaw kaw”, truly embodying the roots of the brand whilst heartening our nation to “live kaw kaw”.
“We are excited to finally bring this youthful and iconic brand to Malaysia, starting with Cyberjaya, our first Taco Bell outlet. The Mexican-inspired cuisine of Taco Bell is most certainly the best in the world from a restaurant chain. The two-story restaurant design features Taco Bell’s signature iconic styles throughout the building from the rainbow-colored Taco ceiling to our indoor sunroom with high glass panels reflects the brand’s youthful Taco Bell spirit,” said Harris Beh, Taco Bell Malaysia’s Franchise Operator.
Founded in 1962 by Glen Bell in South California, Taco bell made impressive strides across 30 countries. One of the key elements in Malaysia’s first-ever Taco Bell outlet is the centerpiece mural art that interprets the unity of the Malaysian culture and the brand itself. With the commitment of embracing Malaysia’s creative community, the centerpiece was designed in collaboration with local Malaysian Artist, Wilson Ng. The restaurant is designed to be ‘Instagram-worthy’, filled with fun colors and diverting fixtures.
Diners are able to peek into the open kitchen theatre where they can watch their meals being prepared. Other features of entertainment and comfort include high-speed WIFI access throughout the restaurant, multiple charging stations for customer’s electrical devices and so much more.
Taco Bell’s menu is customizable according to the preference of their customers, selecting from an array of ingredients; customers can mix and match bold flavors, best-in-class ingredients, including the taco shell and tortillas, proteins such as seasoned ground beef, seasoned ground chicken, grilled chicken, and crispy chicken. Customers can swap proteins with black beans for a vegetarian-friendly option. Taco Bell Malaysia is also proud to introduce a nation-inspired dish, the “Bell Rice Bowl” which highlights Malaysian-made sambal to cater to the Asian palate. Taco Bell recommends their diners to end their meal with two of their famed sweet treats, the Cinnamon Twists, and Chocodilla. Adding to the already flavorsome and exciting dining experience, customers are entitled to free refills of soft drinks for all of Taco Bell’s combo meals. Most importantly, all of the brand’s ingredients are that of Halal-certified sources.
Taco Bell Malaysia operates from 10 AM to 11 PM, 7 days a week for dining and takeaway. Adhering to the strict health protocols due to the pandemic, seating capacity is capped at 50 people at a time with spaced-out seating, contact surfaces are frequently sanitized, employees are well equipped with gloves and face masks, temperature reading, and hand sanitizer stations are provided before entering the premise.
