Our national carriers, Malaysia Airlines have come out with new in-flight safety videos with a new creative twist. Starting August this year, passengers will no longer feel bored watching in-flight safety videos when flying with Malaysia airlines; Instead, they will be met with a Malaysian musical that mixes arts, culture, and music with aviation safety.
Tilted “Satu, Dua, Tiga, Jom!” the new in-flight video was directed by producer and founder of The Enfiniti Creative Universe, Puan Sri Tiara Jacqueline, and co-directed by actor and director Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim. It was also co-written by Sabhan singer-songwriter Mia Palencia, who appeared as a cameo throughout the video.
The new in-flight safety video included beautiful backdrops and harmonic melodies as the Malaysian Airlines cabin crew and local artists draped in the traditional baju kebaya, welcomed passengers to watch a safety demonstration video. The video continues with a musical narration of Malaysia’s significant figures, such as rock bands, Olympic gymnasts, and the Harimau Malaya football club.
The new concept of the in-flight safety video highlights Malaysia’s diversity and emphasizes the importance of onboard safety with much more engaging music instead of the usual formal tones.
Lau Yin May, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer explained that the latest in-flight video is an effort from Malaysia Airlines to improve the in-flight experiences for passengers, ensuring that their journey is made more memorable.
