Japan’s award-winning 200-year-old family recipe Soy Sauce brand, Hamadaya, has made its way to Malaysia. Hamadaya is locally produced by Malaysian manufacturer – Bidor Kwong Heng, with Halal and International food manufacturing standards. Hamadaya sauces are versatile as they come together perfectly to complement many different meals from both Asian and Western cuisine. As of now, the Monde Selection and the International Taste Institute have recognized Hamadaya as a time-tested recipe for its supreme consistency and premium taste.
Hironari Hamada, the 7th Generation Brewmaster of Hamadaya, said, “For decades, we’ve been working to make Hamadaya sauces a truly global seasoning, bringing fresh delicious experiences to people all over the world leading to a richer and healthier lifestyle. Our dedication to Southeast Asia, one of the world’s largest and most vibrant emerging markets, spans the next 200 years and beyond”
Khaw Teik Lye, the Managing Director of Bidor Kwang Heng said, “Our Hamadaya sauces are Halal-certified by JAKIM. When we first thought of introducing Hamadaya sauces to the Malaysian market, we realised that it has to be a Halal product. Malaysia, with its strict Halal accreditation practice, was the ideal hub for Halal food production. Also, there is an ongoing demand for halal-certified Japanese products so we are very excited to be the one bringing these award-winning sauces into the Malaysian market. We first introduced the sauces in Malaysia back in October 2020 and the response has been amazing so far.”
Bidor Kwong Heng produces the Hamadaya sauces locally with the rights and license from Hamadaya Japan, using the technology transfer along with the 200 year-old family recipes. Hamadaya Sauces retails from RM8.90 per bottle, and are now available for purchase at AEON, AEON Big, AEON Max Valu Prime, Village Grocer and Jaya Grocer, as well as online platforms such as Lazada, and Shopee. Hamadaya sauces will soon be available at the The Store, Cold Storage, Giant and Mercato supermarkets.
