On the 11th November 2021, Giant today announces the official launch of a price campaign that lowered the prices of hundreds of everyday essentials across selected fresh and grocery items. The price campaign will be effective starting today until the next six months all across Giant and Giant Mini in Malaysia.

“Harga Lagi Rendah Lagi Lama” is purposed to help Malaysians throughout the hard times as Giant values serving fresh and quality products at great value to help them stretch their dollar further. With the long-term investment up to RM 22 million on the price reductions for 460 everyday essentials, Giant wants its customers to take advantage of them, in view of the rising inflation and financial strain experienced by many families due to pandemic.

To achieve such amazing pricing and value for the own brand products, Giant made close partnerships with key suppliers to ensure that providing fresh products remains as the top priority for the consumers. As the DFI Retail Group Chief Executive Officer for Southeast Asia Food Business, Chris Bush said “We know these are tough times for everyone, and our customers are facing a myriad of growing cost concerns, from job security to rising inflation rates. We have a long history of being Malaysia’s best value food retailer, and we remain committed to supporting our customers”.  He added, “This is our largest single investment in lower prices in over a decade and we have listened and acted on what our customers have told us on what matters most to them”.

Giant hopes that this commitment will lift the morale of the society and allow the customers to get back on the right track after the impact from the pandemic.
