The Malaysian National Film Development Corporation’s (FINAS) Licensing and Enforcement Division raided premises at Sunway Velocity Cheras on 29 June 2021, upon learning that filming activities were taking place during the MCO 3.0.
According to the statement released by FINAS CEO, YBrs Dr. Ahmad Idham Ahmad Nadzri, a strict course of action and charges have been taken against the relevant parties involved in the production. The case has been investigated under Section 22 (1) of the Malaysia National Film Development Corporation Act 1981 (Act 244).
FINAS reminds all production companies to comply with SOPs and guidelines set by the National Security Council (MKN) as everyone is working hard to curb the pandemic.
FINAS also expressed that they will be monitoring compliance with SOPs during MCO 3.0 more aggressively.
