Graced by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dato Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) organized MyCEB Association Day at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) as a platform to gather Malaysia’s renowned experts under the theme of – Dream Possible.
Not a stranger to international conferences and conventions, MyCEB has put in tons of effort in establishing a close relationship with the associations since 2009. Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani Daud expressed that MyCEB has always been on its toes in catching up with the everchanging competitive landscape of the business world. By acknowledging these efforts by MyCEB, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani believes that MyCEB would play the perfect role in assisting associations’ conferences and congresses in Malaysia.
“The theme Dream Possible bodes well with how business events work; from the tedious and complex bidding process to scrutinizing every detail of organizing a successful business event, it is possible if we come together and work as a team,” says Dato Sri Hajah Nancy Shukri, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).
It was announced that MyCEB will embark on a recovery program for the industry where they will initiate the 3R initiative (Reset, Restart and Responsible) which is also supported by MOTAC as the country announced the reopening of its border. On top of that, MyCEB also launched the MySafe Business Events Planner, a joint effort with Business Events Council Malaysia (BECM).
“The Planner plays an important role as a step-by-step format to assist and guide international delegates and event organisers through the safety measures as well as strengthen public confidence in Malaysia’s meetings and events industry,” Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani added.
MyCEB Director-General, YBrs. Puan Aididah binti Ibrahim and MyCEB’s Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani bin Daud were also present during the event.
