Coway’s Vaccinated Staff through PIKAS

Coway Malaysia takes it upon itself to speed up vaccination efforts by participating in the Public-Private Partnership COVID-19 Industry Immunisation Programme (PIKAS) to get over 22,000 Coway professionals nationwide vaccinated. Through PIKAS, Coway Malaysia targets to vaccinate nearly 10,000 people in its workforce that have not undergone the conventional National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

The vaccination program will benefit Coway Ladies (Codys), Service Technicians, Coway Technicians, Health Planners, Homecare Technicians as well as staff at its headquarters. According to them, a budget of around RM1.1million was allocated for this special medical initiative.

As of 25 July, approximately 2,400 Coway professionals in the Klang Valley have received their vaccine shots through their voluntary efforts with PIKAS. Additionally, 15 Coway staff also volunteered at the vaccination center to speed up the process. Coway Malaysia said that they will continue facilitating the immunization of their staff in other states with all the first doses expected to be completed in July.

Kyle Choi, Managing Director of Coway Malaysia

Kyle Choi, Managing Director of Coway Malaysia, said, “We prioritize the safety and protection of our ‘Cowayians’ as they are the backbone of our organization — and we are happy to take any steps necessary to make sure that they are all properly vaccinated. By speeding up vaccination of our ‘Cowayians’, we are also looking out for the well-being of our customers. Many of our Coway professionals are unsung ‘frontliners’, especially those going into homes to service Coway products. With this immunization effort, Coway customers can be assured of their own safety as well.”
