YBhg Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, the Minister of Domestic Trade and Foreign Affairs (KPDNHEP) recently visited the Carsome Certified Lab in Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang.  The Secretary General of KPDNHEP, YBhg. Datuk Azman Bin Mohd Yusof accompanied the Minister alongside other ministry officials.

The purpose of the visit was to observe the services and facilities provided at Carsome which is one of Malaysia’s only companies to receive Malaysia’s first Unicorn Status Award by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Bin Yaakob and MDEC being one of the most successful startups in Malaysia.

Being Southeast Asia’s largest integrated car e-commerce platform, Carsome’s expansion signifies the company’s efforts in growing a high-skilled workforce to solve customers’ pain points in the car ownership journey.  ​According to Carsome, onward from the expansion, it will double up its local investment and is committed to developing, attracting and retaining talents with different areas of specialisation.

The Honorable Minister has launched the “Carsome Certified” logo, a new standard for buying pre-owned cars in Malaysia. The “Carsome Certified” logo is the status given to vehicles that have passed 175 Carsome inspection points to ensure each Carsome Certified vehicle is free from floods and severe accidents, and is sold at a fixed price without any hidden charges, money back guarantee within five (5) days, and one (1) year warranty.

The Ministry always supports and welcomes initiatives and efforts, especially in the motor vehicle distribution sector, to improve the quality of services and consumer protection guarantees in line with the Ministry’s role in protecting the interests of consumers.
