Alibaba Group announced the return of its LiveNOW Training Program as an initiative dedicated to the Malaysian community as an extension of their inaugural LiveNOW program in 2020 that will be remodeled to upskill and unlock potential opportunities in the interactive e-commerce world for Malaysians, including the B40 group and other underserved communities.
The Alibaba-sponsored program was designed for individuals interested in becoming a KOL live-streamer or online video producer. Not only that, but LiveNOW 2022 is also relevant for business owners, especially up and coming entrepreneurs who are keen to host their own live stream or produce their own e-commerce videos for deeper consumer engagement.
Jess Lew, Country Manager, Tmall Taobao World Malaysia, who is supporting the LiveNow program mentioned, “Encouraged by the positive response we saw in 2020, we are excited to bring back our LiveNOW CSR program this year to open the door to potential opportunities in interactive e-commerce wider for Malaysians, as part of Alibaba’s commitment to enabling access to the digital economy for all.”
The program will be conducted online to accommodate more participants across the country in three languages across three Saturdays – 25 June for English, 2 July for Bahasa Malaysia, and 9 July for Mandarin. In addition to this, this year’s program will be upgraded to include an online video production component, given the increase in short video usage as a marketing tool in recent years.
Committed to giving potential opportunities to Malaysians, not only will the participants receive an official digital certificate of recognition, but the program has also created more post-training opportunities for participants to put what they’ve learned into practice. Those who complete the training are welcomed to join the LazTalent Community and also join as a Marketplace seller to enjoy benefits and hands-on support under Lazada Malaysia’s Hari-Harimau New Seller Kickstarter Package.
